STORE HISTORY & BACKGROUND
Psyche is the North East based emporium of men’s and women’s designer clothes.
Established in 1982, the now famous department store (based in Middlesbrough) has a respected place in the fashion industry for bringing high-end designers such as Armani Collezioni, Calabrese and McQ by Alexander McQueen to the North of England, many of which were difficult to get hold of outside of London. Since launching their website Psyche.co.uk several years ago, the company’s profile has become truly international, serving customers all over the world.
WEBSITE, PRODUCT AND RANGE REVIEW
Psyche.co.uk has a good, solid range of everyday designer clothing, catering to the younger man with designers such as D&G and Hugo Boss Black forming a strong part of the store’s collections each season. Pleasingly, there is a good selection of British heritage brands such as Barbour, Burberry Brit and MilanStyle favourite, Aquascutum.
As much as we all like to shop online, sometimes it’s helpful to be able to call an actual real life person, and as the website and the Middlesbrough store are one and the same, it’s comforting to be able to ring up and speak to one of the assistants if you need more information on a particular item.
If you want to keep it ‘online only’ though, Psyche have a 24-hour response time promise, and will often get back to you within a few hours, which is very useful.
The store runs regular competitions for its shoppers, useful competitions too. Anyone wanna win £200 to spend on clothes at Psyche? Thought so.

We like Psyche for their solid range of everyday designer clothing, that will suit from the office to the evening easily.
What’s most enjoyable about shopping at Psyche.co.uk is that the personal touch has continued from their Middlesbrough store through to their website – real shop staff are only happy help to help with any queries you may have: this is not a faceless call centre where the staff don’t have a clue about what your order actually is!
The postage is reasonable for UK shoppers at £5.95 (for FedEx which is fully trackable and guaranteed next day, unlike Royal Mail’s Recorded Delivery service) and with only needing to spend over £80 to get free postage, this will no doubt mean MilanStyle.co.uk shoppers qualify for free postage on most orders.
