MR. PORTER is the long awaited menswear site from the team behind the luxury womenswear site NET-A-PORTER.com.
Established in 2011, the site already has a cult following due its range of Über-luxury brands including Brioni, John Lobb and Ralph Lauren Purple Label, many of which have been difficult to get hold of online, until now.
MR. PORTER’s range of a designer’s collection is pretty extensive (but not complete, sadly) and the pricing of the products is in line with what you would expect to pay if you bought the same pair of Gucci loafers in the Gucci Sloane Street store as an example.
The site has a good mix of European, US and British men’s luxury brands, but, it does not stock the more extravagant, ‘catwalk only’ high-fashion items that you would find on Luisaviaroma.com. So if you want the more rare, eccentric or collector’s pieces of Givenchy or Dolce & Gabbana as an example, you will probably not find them at MR. PORTER’s more conservative edit of the collection. There is a good sizing selection on most items, but again not always complete. In many instances, they do have Extra Smalls/XXLs for clothing, size 6s and size 12s for shoes which is to be commended though.
We really like the stories and articles that feature on MR. PORTER – they’re well written and informative, mostly, written with the ‘real man’ (not ‘high fashion’ man) in mind. Click here to read MR. PORTER ‘Journal’.

The order process is very straightforward and you can get the items delivered to your home or office address, which is very handy.

£5 for UK orders (DHL EXPRESS)
£20 for shipping to Europe.
£30 for ‘Rest of World’ shipping.
International Shipping
International Shipping is provided by DHL and is trackable and your order should arrive within 3 working days wherever you are in the world.

If you are in the UK, you can return the item for free using the DHL collection service, arranging a collection time suitable for you.
“As an alternative to using your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations (DSR), you may prefer to return or exchange items using our free and easy collection service. Just make sure you request your Returns Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number within seven days of receiving your order and return the items within 14 days of receiving your RMA number.”

MR. PORTER is a welcome addition the luxury menswear market.
The range of designers and their products is excellent and seems to be growing on a weekly basis.
As yet, and quite surprising, they do not stock TOM FORD, surely the first designer many would name when it comes to ‘luxury menswear’.
The only slight niggle for us is that there is no free postage option for UK shoppers, if there was, we would happily give MR. PORTER 5*.
