STORE HISTORY & BACKGROUND
LN-CC is the East London based emporium of men’s and women’s avant-garde, underground fashion labels.
Until fairly recently, it has always been quite difficult to get hold of certain labels in the UK and certainly online, particularly those by French fashion houses. Labels which may be well known to fashion insiders and educated fans of that brand, but nonetheless still hard, if not impossible, to find a legitimate online stockist for them. The problem was even worse if you wanted the menswear collections.
LN-CC.com has changed this. With labels such as Yohji Yamamato, Balenciaga and Dries Van Noten, certainly well known to those with an interest in fashion and readers of the likes of I-D magazine or DAZED AND CONFUSED but almost impossible to find an online stockist for in the UK, LN-CC.com, has at last made it easy for British fans of these brands to buy them online.
The store is itself, located in London’s East End, (of course) is the brainchild of a former OKI-NI and Harrods staffer and has a cult-like following from those who like the avant-garde labels mentioned above but also those who visit for its mix of underground Japanese labels (most of which are exclusive to LN-CC outside of Japan) and up and coming new designers from around the world. Make no mistake, LN-CC is a fashion insider’s store.
WEBSITE, PRODUCT AND RANGE REVIEW
What immediately will strike visitors to the website is that they have successfully recreated their London store ‘art gallery’ online, with the main page lain out like a gallery you can scroll through a photo-shoot style gallery of images of.
The brands range from mainline collections such as Balenciaga, Jil Sander, Rick Owens, Maison Martin Margiela and Dries Van Noten to underground Japanese brands such as SASQUATCHFABRIX and Wacko Maria.
These guys know their customer. So chances are that if you like Rick Owens, then you’ll probably like all of their other labels too, as the collections are very cohesive and presented as a ‘story’ online.
Anyone shopping at LN-CC will no doubt be interested in the brands’ history and backgrounds that they are buying into, and there is plenty of opportunity to do this through their ‘Features‘ section, with exclusive interviews with the likes of Damir Doma and the team behind Levi’s reproduction denim line, LVC.

We needed a store like LN-CC in the UK to cater to fans of avant-garde European fashion and the Japanese ‘basement brands’ that we’ve read about but often find impossible to buy easily online here. And while yes, Luisaviaroma.com and farfetch.com and our goodselves here at MilanStyle have made it easier to get hold of these labels, we acknowledge that not everyone in Britain feels comfortable ordering from overseas. So it’s good that we have LN-CC.
Also, huge respect to LN-CC for offering free worldwide shipping, and free next day delivery for us in the UK. This is something we strongly believe in, so for this reason, and for bringing many unique and near mythical labels to the UK for the first time, we are happy to award LN-CC a well deserved 5/5*.
