FarFetch.com is a concept in online shopping that may just change the way we buy designer clothes. Linking up with some of Europe’s finest luxury clothing stores in the likes of Rome, Milan, London, Paris and Copenhagen to just some of the fashion capitals they source stock from (a bit like MilanStyle.co.uk) FarFetch.com has revolutionised the ability for people to buy labels like Gucci, Fendi and Dior Homme online.
Making it straightforward and easy to buy authentic designer goods from international websites – and more importantly, with no need to speak Italian or French to do so – FarFetch.com takes the payment for your order and gets the Italian store (or wherever it is the boutique you have ordered from is situated) to send the item out to you in one seamless transaction. Even better for UK and European shoppers when ordering from European Union based stores that there are no customs fees to pay on your parcel.
ORDER PROCESS
The order process is quite straightforward. farfetch.com accepts all international credit cards.
If you order from one of farfetch.com’s European boutiques (any of those based in Italy, France or Denmark) as a British or European buyer, you will NOT have to pay any customs fees or import taxes on your order. Happy days.
Please note however that farfetch.om also allows you to order from selected American boutiques it works with – this means if you choose to order from one of these stores you MAY have to pay customs fees, depending on the value of your order. That’s normally when you order an item costing £150 or more.
DELIVERY
UK SHOPPERS: Between £7 and £30 – Price will be confirmed at checkout.
This is not exact, but we find that if you are ordering a high-end Italian brand, (Gucci, FENDI etc) it will most likely cost about £20 as the boutique will probably (but not definitely) be Italy based. If you are ordering something from a UK based boutique, you will only pay £7.
REST OF THE WORLD: Price will be confirmed at checkout.
Items coming from Italy, France or Denmark will typically be delivered within 2-3 days and will be couriered by DHL or UPS. It’s not much different from ordering online from a UK retailer, so don’t worry that the process will take any longer than ordering from a store here. And once you start, you won’t be able to stop. There’s something quite cool about being able to order difficult to find FENDI and Gucci menswear items delivered directly to your door from the country they were crafted in. At least to us.
RETURNS PROCESS

farfetch.com are happy to accept returns for any reason up to 14 days after the receipt of your order. To return an item you must complete the online returns form within seven days of receiving your order and the package must reach the originating boutique within 14 days after you have received your order. Please be aware that the parcel can take up to 7 working days to be returned to our boutique or warehouse, unless sent via special delivery.

This is a tough one. Normally we only give 4 or more stars when a store offers free postage.
However, we recognise that farfetch.com really do deliver on the concept of being able to buy exclusive labels and men’s luxury brands from many different stores overseas in an easy and quick way for the first time.
The range of designer menswear is fantastic, and they have [i]almost[/i] all the brands we’d expect to see. (As yet, no TOM FORD – Mr. Ford, if you’re reading us, contact us, we need to talk). If we had to criticise farfetch.com we believe the shipping costs are a little complex, and that they should charge one flat fee for shipping to all UK and European customers. If postage costs were lowered to under £10 for all European based orders, we’d give them 5/5 with no hesitation.
