French powerhouse Lanvin began life as a bespoke clothing maker for Europe’s wealthy elite, with the founder Jeanne Lanvin eventually setting up her own label collection in 1909. This in fact makes the brand the oldest European fashion house still in operation.
With a massive resurgence in the 2000’s, Lanvin has become one of the most watched brands in fashion with the Paris based menswear collection also beginning to set the style agenda with its super cool, futuristic look mixed in with the brand’s timeless men’s staple jackets and tailoring a big hit with the men’s style editors. Watch out too for Lanvin’s men’s trainers (or ‘sneakers’ depending on what side of the Atlantic ocean you live on) that are fast gaining the brand even further street credibility.
