Dolce & Gabbana are the dynamic duo of Italian menswear.

Along with Versace, over the years Domenico Gabbana and Stefano Dolce revolutionised menswear, popularising their signature 'Eurotrash' look of highly fashionable looks that suit bold personalities and just about anyone who likes to stand out from the crowd. Uniquely Italian in their vision of men's style, the duo's collections have created various signature items which are now instantly identifiable as 'Dolce & Gabbana': the sharp suits in glossy Italian wool, the heavy pea coats (inspired by one half of the duo's rustic Sicilian roots) and bold, logo-d t-shirts. In 2010 the designers celebrated 25 years of their label and fashion shows in Milan.

While always fashion forward and bold in their premier line menswear collections, look closely at their collections though and you'll see well crafted basic items which suit all personal styles, with a strong respect and adherence to the rules of tradtional menswear tailoring. The classic shirts they do each season in particular fit nicely and wash well without being too 'skinny' and form an important part of any man's wardrobe who is serious about style, as they can be worn to add a special touch to a suit, or for a smarter evening look. Dolce & Gabbana label their shirts with a different name for each cut; the 'Gold' shirts are regular fitting, while the 'Martini' shirts are a slimmer cut for an athletic build. The leather jackets are of course amazing each season, without fail. In the 1990's Dolce and Gabbana (sometimes called 'Dolce & Gabbana mainline') launched their younger, sportier 'D&G' menswear range, again promoted through glossy advertising campaigns and headline grabbing, show-stopping fashion shows, quickly becoming one of the pace setters of Milan fashion week, and of course, menswear itself.

Stefano Dolce and Domenico Gabbana, here's to another 25 years - we salute you!
