The MilanStyle team has always had a lot of time for Mr. Boateng.
As much as we are in respectfully in awe of the Most Worshipful British Institute of Savile Row, it did need someone to shake it, and the bespoke tailoring world, up. Make it modern. Make it desirable again for the younger man. Hell, make tailoring sexy.
Boateng did that. And while his spell as creative director of Givenchy menswear may have been short-lived, we came across this video of the master showman introducing his appointment to the world, in his own inimitable, showmanship way.
Fusing Japanese manga animation with French fashion and bespoke British tailoring? Very cool.
